We don't use to see this kind of thrillers from Turkey. Stripped of love of humans and other animals. This was the only TIFF film I was able to make it down to this year, due to a very busy schedule and a utter lack of planning. Armored vehicles rumble through the outskirts of Istanbul and shatter windows of cinder block homes as they pass, bombs explode in the night, trash fires burn, attack helicopters roam the skies and soldiers with machine guns shout at checkpoints.
Colored with terrific performances and mind blowing direction it explores the human fears pertaining to the relationships and society. Perfect use of silences and motionless moments are more effective alpwr creating the horrifying nature in which the film travels through.

Ahmet was never in prison and yet his existence is just as bleak as that of his brother. There is no denying that the film maker created a believable alprr. So that is how I came to see 'Frenzy'.
Brilliant film, weak ending. Our thoughts are simply formed from what we hear and what we see. With stunning camera works it is also a house of metaphors e portrays the current political state of Turkey.
He is released into a city that is straining under the presence of political crimes and terrorism, a city strife with paranoia.
There is a hard reality here. Welcome to charming Turkey!
And when you don't properly plan your festival, you end up taking what you can get.
